As one of the major towns of Kent and a member of the famous Cinque ports, Dover is probably most famous for it’s white cliffs  and port facility which sees hundreds of thousands people each year take the short 21 mile journey across the English Channel to Calais.  Steeped in history the area has a number of castles, museums, beaches and bays, gardens and walks for you to explore and discover.  The most famous of these castles is the magnificent Norman Castle which brings old and new together with Norman Keeps and underground wartime tunnels.  More information on Dover and the surrounding area can be viewed by clicking on the links below.
